Many people who see me use their extended health care insurance plans to cover a portion of their costs. For those who are interested in doing that, you will need to call your insurance provider and ask them:

1 – What professional your insurance company covers; social worker, registered psychotherapist, or psychologist? I am a registered psychotherapist but may be able to provide cover under a supervising social worker as well.

2 – How much will the insurance company reimburse you – for each individual session and the total sum provided per calendar year?

3 – When does your benefit year end/begin?

It is also a good idea to find out about your partner’s insurance cover as well as you will probably be eligible under both plans.

I do not contact the insurance companies directly but provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Payment and Fees

I operate on a fee-for-service basis. Payment in full is due at the time of service. Cash, check, all major credit cards and e-transfers are accepted for payment.

Individual, couples and family therapy: $140 for 50 minutes.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible so that I can make the appointment available to another client. Clients who provide less than 24 hours’ notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee.

Phone/Home Visits

I do offer psychotherapy sessions over the phone. I also provide home visits for those who are unable to travel to the clinic due to illness, post-delivery, or other circumstances. If you are interested in either of these options please contact me directly to discuss.
